"No one lights a lamp to put it in a hidden place, or under a canister, but to put it on the lamp, so that all who enter see the light."
The feast is celebrated on July 11, in the parish church. On the eve and early hours, large groups of people arrive on pilgrimage, coming from various parishes of the municipalities of Arcos de Valdevez and Ponte da Barca.
It is celebrated on the first Sunday of August, in the Chapel of Vilarinho do Souto.
The feast of the patron saint is celebrated between the 2nd and 3rd Sunday of August, in the parish church.
